HIBISCUS A tropical Beauty

A LIL INTO HISTORY
The term “hibiscus” comes from the Greek hibiskos or mallow. Experts believe that hibiscus more likely originates from India. An early hibiscus researcher, Ross Gast, sailed the world looking for the plant’s true origin. He believed that people from India spread hibiscus south and into the Pacific Islands.

This Queen of the Tropics grows in the wild mostly in the tropical and subtropical regions all over the world. It is the National Flower of Malaysia. From the Malvaceae family under Hibiscus genus, this flower comes in 220 species. They are considered annuals, perennials, and shrubs. Apart from the red one another famous variety or species of Hibiscus is the Yellow Hibiscus which is native to Hawaii. From being sacred in some cultures to being a culinary delight , this lovely bloom is worth celebrating
