Native North American Rock Art or Ruins Photograph...

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE SUBMITTING!!!

**This contest is sponsored by the Go Take a Hike Photography Group; any images submitted should represent things that one may find out on the trail, in a natural setting – unless contest rules specifically allow exceptions.**


Contest Logo: Cliff Palace – One of the most iconic cliff dwellings in the world, Cliff Palace resides in Mesa Verde National Park, Colorado USA.


Show us a scene where the subject is an example of rock art or ruins from early Native American peoples, following these rules:


1. Photography Only. No post-processing digital alterations other than basic edits and black and white conversions, and no digital painting, mixed media, selective color, false backgrounds, added graphics or text allowed. No drone photography, aerial photography or trail camera shots allowed.


2. Your images must show an example of petroglyphs, pictographs or the ruins of dwellings created by early peoples of North America. Examples of acceptable dwellings would be cliff dwellings, pueblos, pit houses, etc. Replica teepees or longhouses, etc. are NOT allowed. See contest logo for an example.


3. Your images must be captured in an otherwise natural environment where the only man-made objects are the rock art or the ruins themselves. People and pets/domestic/captive/rescue/rehab animals are NOT allowed. Other/modern man-made objects are NOT allowed. Any images taken in any kind of museum, garden, yard, farm, zoo, wildlife rehab center, marina, or built-up area are NOT allowed.


4. As always, there is ABSOLUTELY NO VOTER SOLICITATION ALLOWED in any Go Take a Hike Photo Group contest. Please allow your images to speak for themselves! Also, no position-bumping. If you submit images, then leave them where they are. Pulling and resubmitting to get your images to the front will result in your images being removed.




I reserve the right to remove any photos which do not meet the contest parameters. I look forward to seeing everybody’s work!

Each participant may submit 2 images.

1)   You must be a member of shopthegreatframeupart.com in order to cast votes in this contest.   Your account must have been active at least 30 days prior to the start of the contest in order to vote.

2)   You may only vote once per image.

3)   You may vote for as many images as you like... but only once for any given image.
