Green circles painted onto Japanese rice paper, painted boards, old paper, and a postcard stamp from South Africa all come together in this piece. I painted the papers and the wood and photographed them, as well as the South African postcard stamp I found in Cambridge, England last week. The weathered elements, the textures, and the colors all seem to relate of my vision of South Africa.
