Artemis, goddess of the hunt, twin sister of Apollo, takes aim at the moon.
This 18" x 24" painting was done as we await the launch of the first crewed rocket trip by NASA to the moon since I was in grammar school. I combine the myth with the reality and hope, as we celebrate the thousands of people it takes to dream, develop, craft and control such a complex and dangerous voyage.
This is the larger, more detailed version. I also did a rare, preliminary study in 11" x 14" which is more impressionistic.
