North Park in Colorado is a great place to observe moose. With their huge racks and impossibly long legs, they are quite a sight. Mostly, they don't move all that fast but, quite a few years back, in September, when they were in the rut, one chased me up a tree! Now, I know how fast they can move when they want to.

How lucky I am to live the artist's life. I have had the opportunity to stand on a wind swept mountain at dawn and I've watched stars shoot across an infinite moonlit night. Still, it is the birds and animals who have shown me sheer joy and helped me feel connected to the whole of nature, birds, animals, plants and sky, and people as well. It is such a great feeling when I can connect with others through my art.
