When it was yet a virgin land
Where evergreens so tall would stand
Where creatures roamed of every breed
Not taking more than what they need
And life prevailed in harmony
A place where most would want to be
So then they came, at first a few
Who kept the land in balance too
But some that followed wanted more
And took their wealth through strife and war
Behold the land we came to know
And had, just ONCE, BUT LONG AGO
