#031714-A, "What the Fudge bunnies" 8 x 8 piece of collage art with a 2” white mat to the final size of 12 x 12 ready for you to slide into a nice 12 x 12 frame.
Materials Used: 140lb. Watercolor paper, polymer medium, acrylics, stained tissue paper, old book pages, gessoed Kraft paper with acrylics, stamping with homemade stamps and acrylics, wax pastel crayons, graphite pencil sealed with a layer of UV satin varnished.
Meaning behind the art: For almost three years now I’ve been making a collage every Monday afternoon…but something happened yesterday. Sights and sounds of the Sand hill Cranes got to me…though in years past it’s been a bit warmer and the snow has melted for a few weeks. I really wanted to be out in my yard cleaning the dried old growth and turning over the dirt. I lost interest …I almost said what does it matter…but then I thought why not show a piece I struggling with? A million things are wrong with it but I’m not going to injury myself any mo...
About Laura Lein-Svencner
Bio Laura Lein-Svencner was raised in Downers Grove IL not far from her grandfather’s farm and resides now Darien Illinois for the past 30 years. She’s continued with her personal studies in drawing, printmaking, sculpture, papermaking and collage. Seeking inspiration from one artist to another, Laura has pursued her love of paper; this steady pace of exploration has led her to become a member of many local and international collage groups. She also co-founded the Midwest Collage Society which exhibits throughout the Midwest region. Her works has won many awards and most recently the 27th Annual Juried Exhibit with the National Collage Society.
