WHAT R WE DOING to each other?
We should turn towards each other in love passion, trust and understanding. Instead the last years have divided us and made us turn away from each other. Mistrust, pickering, pain, fear and loss was all that came from it. War and crisis wherever you look and each day more madness and cruelty. Where will it end? When will it stop?
WHAT R WE DOING to each other?

A photo taken from below the Wilkins Mill Covered Bridge (Covered Bridge #35) of Sugar Mill Creek.
The Wilkins Mill Bridge, built in 1906, was the second of three bridges by William Hendricks. Located near Turkey Run State Park in Parke County, Indiana, this single-span Burr Arch Truss Bridge is 120 feet long and 16 feet wide. It’s still used today and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.
A mill was built upstream from the bridge site in 1835. George Wilkins later opened a store and a carding mill in 1853. By 1855, Wilkins bought the mill. He later tore it down and put a new one in its place. That mill was Wilkins Mill and the source of the covered bridge’s name. Unfortunately, Wilkins Mill burned down in 1877, and another mill was built, which was there until 1947.
Parke County, Indiana, has 31 covered bridges remaining in the county and is called the Covered Bridge Capital of the World. They hold the Covered Bridge Festival every autumn.

Cadiz Courthouse Collage by Kathy K. McClellan is a photographic image created for Day 243 of the 365 Challenge (Journal 2022).
This collage contains photographs taken in July 2022 in Cadiz, Ohio (USA), the county seat of Harrison County. The images were taken at the Harrison County Courthouse.
The courthouse was built between 1893-1895 by Joseph W. Yost. Many of Yost's designs mirror each other with their architectural features.
Arched windows, columns, a central clock tower and a statue of Justice at the very top are some of the same features on many of Yost's other buildings of that time.
The building's corners are partially separate structures. The exterior is all stone.
The courthouse was listed on The National Register of Historic Places on July 18, 1974. Renovations were done in 1993 and included installing an elevator, replacing the roof, dome and stairs and other repairs.

"Rainbow Fair" by Tim. A fun ride on the Ferris Wheel at the Becker County Fair provided one lucky fairgoer with a spectacular aerial view of a rainbow underneath a huge and dramatic cloud formation. This is either a Cumulonimbus or Cumulus congestus cloud, both associated with heavy rain and sometimes more severe weather. The people on the ground seem not to notice the unique and majestic scene as they wait in line for the midway rides "Music Fest" and "Fireball", both decorated with flags. The Fireball ride is a vertical circular roller coaster ride also sometimes called the Super Loop or Ring of Fire, while the Music Fest ride is a ground roller coaster that goes in circles with over a hilly track. The fair is held at the Becker County Fairgrounds in Detroit Lakes, MN. Please see more Minnesota outdoor photography at patti-deters.pixels.com.

Buddy is a juvenile Gopher Tortoise. He is wild and completely self-sufficient but due to injuries from a predator he took shelter in my yard during his recovery. He stayed for over two years, and we became quite close. When he visits, he knows he will find some wildflowers to eat and that I always have his favorite blueberries in the house.

Public Defender On Main by Kathy K. McClellan is a photographic image created for Day 244 of the 365 Challenge (Journal 2022).
This office front is located on Main Street in Cadiz, Ohio (USA), the county seat of Harrison County.
There is no sign or lettering on the doors or window to indicate what type of office is in this building except for the bear statue in the window. The bear holds a sign that says Public Defender.
This two story building with a basement is in-between two buildings that appear to be from the mid 1800s. The Harrison National Bank Building on one side is on the the National Register Of Historic Places and dated as such.
I first noticed the plaque above the office front that is located on a strip of subway tiles between the office window and doors and the second story windows. The round plaque displays a justice scale.
The justice scales in the plague are repeated in the window as a metal scale placed on a Greek ionic column pedestal that is centered in the window. A star hangs above the scales in the window and that is repeated as a larger, metal star located over the door to the first floor and above the metal Welcome sign.
On each side of the window there is a small, artificial Christmas tree. On the right side of the scales stands the bear statue, standing in front of a campfire and holding the Public Defender sign and a stick with two marshmallows stuck on the ends of the stick.
Look closely and you will even see a Cardinal statue (the Ohio state bird) above and to the right of the bear.
